Kings Arms Cottage

Chagford

A holiday "home from home " within the Dartmoor National Park

Lydstone

Kings Arms Cottage is set back from the Square behind a small enclosed paved garden and privacy giving hedge. It is part of "Lydstone", the main thatched house which was once the ancient Kings Arms coaching inn and is situated at the very heart of the historic and bustling town of Chagford which was once the centre of the Dartmoor wool and tin trade.

Kings Arms Cottage is beamed, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable and pretty.  There is a double room, a twin room and a single room.  All linen and towels are provided.  The double bedroom has a sleigh bed and also a day bed so it is possible to sleep six, but five is best. There is a bathroom and toilet upstairs and a cloakroom and toilet downstairs.  The cottage has full central heating with thermostats on all radiators.  Secure parking is available in the yard at the back of the main house and bikes can be stored under cover.  A cot and high chair are provided and well behaved "downstairs" dogs are welcome.  The court yard at the back of the cottage is ideal for barbecuing on fine evenings and guests are welcome to use the "secret" walled garden at the rear of the house.
